The Same 911 GT3 After a Year and 300 km · 2025 Service
The same 2022 911 GT3 returned at about 2,800 km, roughly 300 km after its service a year earlier. We replaced the engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid and filters. Front and rear alignment had also changed since the previous visit, so we adjusted it again.

The same GT3 returns a year later
Developed with Porsche Motorsport, the GT3 combines a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre engine with a chassis influenced by racing. Even with little mileage, we look at the time since the last service and the present condition of its oil and components.
This visit included another check of the fluids, filters and alignment. Front and rear toe, set evenly last year, now showed left-to-right differences.
02
Engine and transmission oil replacement, followed by level checks
Engine oil, its filter and the transmission oil were replaced. The technician described seeing metal particles in the drained oil.
We set the transmission oil level after filling. The final engine oil check also showed a normal level on the instrument display.

03
Brake fluid, filters and care with the centre locks
Brake fluid, the front luggage compartment filter and the cabin filter were replaced. The removed filters were placed beside the new parts to compare their condition.
The wheels use centre locks. The locking element needs to return to its proper position, so it requires care when handled. The two shorts below show points to watch for in work on other cars.
04
Front and rear toe differences after a year
At the end of the 2024 work, toe was equal on each side of both axles. Before adjustment in 2025, the left-to-right difference measured 0.6 mm at the front and 0.7 mm at the rear.
The car had covered about 300 km in between. The cause of the change needs further checking.

After adjustment · 2024
Measured L/R difference · front 0.0 mm / rear 0.0 mm
Before adjustment · 2025
Measured L/R difference · front 0.6 mm / rear 0.7 mm
| Measurement | Left: after 2024 → before 2025 | Right: after 2024 → before 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Front toe | 0.2 → 0.1 mm | 0.2 → 0.7 mm |
| Rear toe | 2.3 → 2.5 mm | 2.3 → 1.8 mm |
05
Front toe at 0.2 mm per side, with rear toe brought closer together
Front toe was set to 0.2 mm per side. Both rear toe values were already within the displayed reference range before adjustment; this work reduced their left-to-right difference.
Front and rear camber were all within the displayed range on the last measurement. The caster cross difference was also within range at −0.22°.
Difference from the chosen final setting

Toe is in mm; camber and caster are in degrees. Caster values are measurements taken before and after the work.
06
A signal code found at the end of the service
Engine oil and its filter, transmission oil, brake fluid and the other filters were replaced, and wheel alignment was adjusted.
The final scan showed U042300, an instrument cluster signal code in the transmission control module. Whether it is current or stored, what caused it and whether it has cleared still need checking. The code alone does not establish an internal transmission fault.

Does oil need replacing after just 300 km in a year?
The time since the last change and the oil’s actual condition both matter. Despite the short distance, this GT3’s oil was replaced after its condition was checked.
Does dark drained oil mean something has failed?
Colour alone cannot tell us whether a component has failed. In this case, the technician also saw metal particles while checking the oil.
Why had the alignment changed since last year?
The readings were different when we measured the car again this year. Finding the reason needs further inspection.
Can Korean cars receive the same care?
Yes. We follow the procedures for each model, with the same care in handling parts, taking the necessary measurements and checking the finished work.
