AMG GT Black Series maintenance
Fluid service and wheel alignment
The AMG GT Black Series stood at the top of the AMG GT range at its launch. Within Mercedes-AMG, the Black Series name identifies special models that concentrate the brand’s motorsport technology. An exceptionally rare sight in Korea, this car came to NHC for maintenance.
Its 730 PS V8 and aerodynamics derived from the GT3 race car were developed with circuit driving in mind. Careful routine maintenance helps preserve that capability. This visit covered engine oil, differential oil and brake-fluid replacement, followed by wheel-alignment adjustment.

Four maintenance items in one visit
Engine oil, differential oil and brake fluid each maintain a different vehicle system. Wheel alignment was added so wheel direction could be checked during the same visit.
The work included draining the engine oil and replacing its filter, changing the rear-differential fluid, replacing brake fluid, and then measuring and adjusting toe.

Fluids were serviced at their respective systems
This engine uses dry-sump lubrication, storing oil in a separate tank to maintain oil supply during hard cornering. An oil change therefore starts with identifying the reservoir and drain points. We drained the oil with this layout in mind and replaced the filter as part of the service.

The rear differential uses fluid separate from the engine. Its service points were identified, and drained and fresh fluid were kept apart for inspection.

Brake-fluid replacement with the wheels removed
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, lowering its boiling point. That matters when braking generates heat, even on a car with low mileage. A familiar pedal feel alone is not a reason to postpone service: the maintenance history and manufacturer’s replacement interval should also be checked.
With the wheels removed, the existing brake fluid was drained and replaced. The calipers, hoses and work areas were checked as the service progressed at each wheel.

Front and rear toe adjustment
Before adjustment, front toe measured 1.5mm left and 2.4mm right. Both values were in the machine's green range, but the sides differed by 0.9mm.

After adjustment, front toe measured 1.7mm on both sides. Dedicated parts allow further camber adjustment, but we judged that adding those parts was not warranted during this visit and left camber unchanged.
Rear toe changed from 0.3mm left and 0.4mm right to 1.0mm and 1.1mm. The recorded screens show rear total toe changing from 0.7mm to 2.1mm.

Camber was not adjusted, and the rear camber-difference indicator remains highlighted on the screen. The diagram and table use the recorded measurement screens. Rear total toe is shown as 2.1mm on screen; the spoken explanation gives 2.0mm.

Fluid service and alignment completed
Engine oil and filter, differential oil and brake fluid were replaced. During alignment, the front-toe difference was matched left to right and camber was left in its existing position.

What was adjusted during alignment?
Front toe was adjusted from 1.5mm left and 2.4mm right to 1.7mm on both sides. Both starting values were in the machine's green range, so this is a left-right matching adjustment rather than a failed-to-passed claim. Camber was left unchanged.
