01
The GT3’s place in the 911 range
The GT3 is a track-focused member of the 911 range. This 2022 model belongs to the 992 generation, with a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six that revs to 9,000 rpm.
Its double-wishbone front suspension draws on the 911 RSR race car. With motorsport influencing both the engine and chassis, we checked all four wheels’ alignment alongside the oil and filter service.
02
Draining the engine oil and replacing the filter
We collected the engine oil in containers to check its condition and the amount drained, then fitted a new oil filter.
Torque tools were used on the filter and drain plugs. These parts are removed and refitted at oil changes, so we take care with the fastening as well.

03
Replacing the front luggage compartment and cabin filters
The front luggage compartment filter and the cabin filter were replaced separately. The photos show the removed filters alongside the new parts.
Tyre pressures were also checked directly at the wheels.

04
Front toe set to 0.2 mm per side
Front toe was adjusted from −0.6 mm on the left and −0.7 mm on the right to 0.2 mm per side. We also checked rear toe and front and rear camber.
On the last measurement, the caster cross difference remained at −0.32°, outside the equipment’s displayed ±0.25° reference. This needs another look at the next inspection.

Engine oil, the oil filter and the other filters were replaced, tyre pressures checked and alignment adjusted.
The car returned the following year. Its 2025 visit covered oil and wheel condition after roughly another 300 km.
911 GT3 maintenance questions
Does a low-mileage car need an alignment check?
It depends on the car’s condition. This GT3 had covered about 2,500 km, but measurement showed areas of alignment that needed adjustment.
Do the same model and mileage mean the same parts need replacing?
Use and component condition can differ even at the same mileage. We look at the service history and actual condition to decide what needs replacing.
Can Korean cars be maintained this way too?
Yes. We follow the procedures for each model, with the same care in handling parts, taking the necessary measurements and checking the finished work.
