An oil filter housing leak found during service

During the engine oil change, we also checked the surrounding engine area. We found oil leakage at the filter housing, explained it to the owner and agreed to monitor its condition.

At the next visit, we will check the same area for increased leakage. Contact us sooner if oil drips where you park or top-ups become more frequent.

Oil, filter and other service items

We fitted a MANN oil filter and filled with Motorex SELECT SP-X 5W-30 engine oil.

The photo below shows the used cabin filter beside a new one. We also look at these service items during an oil visit.

Brake pads recommended in about 5,000km

After checking the pads, we recommended replacement in approximately 5,000km. This visit included advice on timing.

Wear rate varies with driving conditions. Have the brakes checked sooner if noise or pedal feel changes. We also looked around the suspension bushes.

We changed the oil and filter, agreed to keep monitoring the housing leak, and advised on pad replacement timing. Regular visits help separate work needed now from work to plan next.
