Korando C lower arms: replacement followed by wheel alignment
Does suspension work end with new lower arms? Components that locate the wheels also affect alignment. After replacing this Korando C's lower arms, front toe was adjusted from 1.5mm left and 3.4mm right to 0.0mm on both sides.

Lower-arm replacement
Lower arms connect the wheels to the body and help maintain their position and angle. We removed the old arms, compared them with the new parts and installed the replacements.
The suspension connections were separated to remove and replace the arms. As these parts affect wheel position, alignment was measured and adjusted as part of the work.

Adjusting front and rear toe and comparing the readings
Before adjustment, rear toe also differed from side to side: −1.8mm on the left and 0.8mm on the right.
After adjustment, front toe was 0.0mm on each side and rear toe was −0.2mm on each side. The diagram and table below show toe direction and camber readings.

Toe direction is exaggerated at the same scale for comparison; these are not actual wheel angles. Red and green indicate readings outside and inside the equipment's reference range.

One further item needs attention after the replacement.
During the work, severe tie-rod corrosion made part of the adjustment difficult. The technician explained the need for replacement.

Is alignment needed after replacing lower arms?
Lower arms affect wheel position, so alignment should be measured and adjusted as needed after replacement. On this vehicle, front and rear toe were adjusted and the readings compared.
What can incorrect toe cause?
Incorrect settings can contribute to uneven tyre wear and changes in handling. Vehicle specifications, side-to-side differences and tyre condition matter alongside the size of the reading.
Why can tie-rod corrosion require replacement?
Toe is adjusted through threaded tie-rod components. Corrosion can seize the adjuster and prevent precise adjustment. We found corrosion during this job and recommended replacement.
