Bentley Mulsanne Speed · 2026 Fluid Service and Alignment
In August 2026, we changed the engine, differential and power-steering oils, brake fluid and filters on the same Mulsanne Speed. On arrival, front toe was lower on both sides than at the final adjustment in 2023. Front toe and camber were outside the equipment’s displayed range, so we adjusted the alignment.

01
The next service for a long-held Mulsanne
This is the 2026 service of a 2018 Bentley Mulsanne Speed. The Mulsanne was Bentley’s flagship of its day; the Speed is the driver-focused performance version with a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8.
We changed the differential oil, brake fluid and power-steering fluid along with the engine oil. We also measured the alignment and found front toe and camber outside the equipment’s displayed range.
02
Engine oil and filter, finished with torque tools
We used Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3 5W-30 and BG MOA and fitted a new oil filter.
We tightened the oil filter and drain with torque tools.

03
The differential-oil product and specification
MOTOREX GEAR OIL PENTA LS SAE 75W-90, API GL-5 and BG LS II were used for the differential. Samples were collected during draining and filling to inspect their condition.
04
Brake-fluid exchange reaches the caliper bleeders
BG DOT 5.1 brake fluid was used. Exchange equipment was connected to the reservoir and each caliper bleeder.
We drained the old brake fluid through each caliper bleeder during the exchange.
05
Power-steering fluid and the cabin filter
We exchanged the power-steering fluid with equipment connected to the reservoir and fitted a new cabin filter.
2023 final settings and 2026 arrival readings
These are the same car’s readings after adjustment in August 2023 and on arrival in August 2026. Front toe was lower on both sides, while rear toe was higher. This compares two points in the car’s history, rather than the before and after of one service visit.
| Reading | Left: 2023 final → 2026 arrival | Right: 2023 final → 2026 arrival |
|---|---|---|
| Front toe | 1.2 → 0.3 mm | 1.2 → 0.1 mm |
| Rear toe | 1.6 → 1.8 mm | 1.6 → 1.9 mm |
| Front camber | -0.38 → -0.57 ° | -0.41 → -0.66 ° |
| Rear camber | -1.64 → -1.68 ° | -1.50 → -1.73 ° |

Bringing front toe and camber into range
On 4 August, front toe and camber were outside the range displayed by the alignment equipment. Rear toe and camber were already within range before adjustment.
Front toe was adjusted to 1.1mm on each side. After adjustment, four-wheel toe and camber and front caster all appeared within the equipment’s displayed range.

Fluid service and alignment completed
The engine, differential and power-steering oils, brake fluid and filters were serviced, followed by wheel-alignment adjustment.
At the next visit, the fluid condition can be assessed alongside these replacement dates, and new alignment readings can be compared with this visit’s final settings.

Why did the front toe readings increase after adjustment?
A smaller toe value is not always better. Front toe changed from 0.3mm left and 0.1mm right to 1.1mm on each side, bringing it within the equipment’s displayed range.
Was the rear already out of range before adjustment?
No. Rear toe and camber were already within the equipment’s displayed range before adjustment.
Which product was used for the brake-fluid exchange?
BG DOT 5.1 was used, with exchange equipment connected to the reservoir and each caliper bleeder.
