Bentley Mulsanne Speed · 2024 Engine Oil and Chassis Care
In April 2024, we changed the engine oil and filter on this 2018 Bentley Mulsanne Speed and replaced the front stabilizer links and bushings. We checked the drained oil and the old and new parts, then tightened the drain with a torque tool.

The driver-focused version of Bentley’s flagship
The Mulsanne was Bentley’s flagship saloon of its day. The Speed is the driver-focused high-performance version, powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8.
On this visit, we changed the engine oil and worked on the front stabilizer links and rubber bushings.

Engine oil: the product and what comes out
Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3 5W-30 was used and the oil filter was replaced. BG EPR engine cleaner and BG MOA were also used during the service.
The drained oil was collected in transparent containers for inspection.

Finishing drain tightening with a torque tool
We tightened the lower drain with a torque tool. It is loosened and tightened at every oil change, so we take care when securing it.

Front stabilizer links and rubber bushings
The front stabilizer bar was removed, and its links and rubber bushings were replaced. Removed and replacement parts were laid out side by side to compare their shape.
During an oil-change visit, we can also check the chassis and decide what work it needs.

Cabin filter and fuel-system care
We replaced the cabin filter and used BG 44K in the fuel system.

Carrying the 2024 work into the next visit
The visit covered engine oil and filter, front stabilizer links and bushings, the cabin filter and fuel-system care.
During an oil change, we check the products, the condition of the drained oil and the fasteners in turn. At the next visit, we use the service history and the car’s condition to decide what it needs.

Which products were used for the engine oil service?

Which stabilizer parts were serviced?
The front stabilizer bar was removed and its links and rubber bushings were replaced. Removed and replacement parts were compared before assembly.
Can chassis care be included with an oil change?
Yes. Engine oil and chassis work can be combined as they were on this Mulsanne. The service history and the condition found during inspection determine the work required.
