S350 at 260,000km: AdBlue tank and suspension work
This S350 had travelled about 260,000km. We serviced the AdBlue tank and suspension bushes and checked alignment, wheels and tyres.

AdBlue tank replacement and diagnostic procedures
We removed the existing AdBlue tank and fitted its replacement, then connected the diagnostic tool for the relevant procedures.
Some AdBlue warnings require a top-up; others require component diagnosis. If a warning persists, the displayed message and fault history should be checked first.

Suspension bush work during the same visit
We used press equipment for bush work on the removed suspension component, then reassembled it.
Wheel alignment needs checking after suspension parts are removed and refitted. Replacement should be followed by the necessary alignment adjustment.

Reducing front left-right differences and adjusting the rear
Initial front toe was 1.3mm on the left and 0.1mm on the right. The right side was below the equipment's reference range, and the front camber difference also needed attention.
Final front toe was 1.6 / 1.4mm, with rear toe at 2.6 / 2.7mm. Front camber was -0.70 / -0.79°. The diagrams and measurement screens show the changes.

Toe direction is exaggerated at the same scale for comparison; these are not actual wheel angles. Red and green indicate readings outside and inside the equipment's reference range.

Alignment and wheel-and-tyre testing are separate checks
After checking wheel alignment on the car, we also tested the wheel-and-tyre assemblies with Hunter equipment. Their rotational characteristics and behaviour under load are separate from alignment readings.
This visit covered the AdBlue system, suspension bushes, alignment, wheels and tyres. Keeping track of which components were serviced and when helps plan maintenance as mileage increases.

Questions before booking
Does an AdBlue warning mean the tank must be replaced?
The decision follows checks of the fluid level, fault history and component operation. A warning does not always require tank replacement.
Why check alignment again after suspension work?
Removal and reassembly can change wheel alignment. Once components are correctly installed, we measure and make the necessary adjustments.
