Ferrari 812 Superfast
Wheel alignment & brake fluid service
At its launch, the 812 Superfast led Ferrari’s front-engined V12 line. Succeeding the F12berlinetta, this high-performance GT combines an 800 CV, 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with the ability to cover longer journeys. The car in this case is a 2020 model.
The owner brought this car, with about 7,500 km, for wheel alignment and brake fluid service. We measured the wheel settings and took care with the wheels and brake components throughout the work, helping preserve a car meant to be enjoyed for years.

812 Superfast: carrying Ferrari’s V12 lineage forward
Ferrari’s models serve different purposes. The 488 Pista belongs to its mid-engined V8 special series, while the 812 Superfast represented the front-engined V12 line at its launch. Peak power arrives at 8,500rpm. Its combination of high-revving performance and touring ability makes consistent care of lubrication, cooling and braking systems part of preserving the experience.
The tyres and wheel settings that connect that performance to the road also need attention. We corrected a side-to-side difference in front toe and replaced brake fluid at all four wheels.
Low mileage does not remove the need to consider fluid age and how the car is used. For a car driven occasionally, we review its service history and present condition when planning maintenance.

Clearing the toe split
The equipment showed a front toe range of -1.1 to -0.6mm and a rear range of +1.2 to +2.2mm. The front is meant to point outward and the rear inward. Zero is not the target here.
Before adjustment, front toe was −0.6 mm on the left and +0.5 mm on the right: toe-out on the left and toe-in on the right. We set both sides to −0.9 mm.
Rear toe remained at 1.4/1.2 mm and thrust angle at 0.01°. Camber and caster were already within the displayed ranges, so adjustment focused on front toe. The table also includes the remeasured readings for the other items.

Brake fluid service, finished with care
Brake fluid can absorb moisture and lose boiling-point performance over time. Service decisions consider its age and operating conditions, rather than colour alone. We used BG DOT 5.1 on this car.
We cleaned the reservoir and worked at the inner and outer bleed points of the calipers on all four wheels, including the less accessible areas.
After replacement, we removed residual fluid from the painted calipers and surrounding components. Looking after those parts during the service matters as much as adding fresh fluid.
04
Small details in handling valuable components
Before fitting the measuring clamps, we cleaned dust from the wheel contact areas. Handling the wheel finish carefully matters alongside the alignment readings.
That care extends beyond Ferrari. We inspect BMW, Mercedes-Benz, other imported cars and Korean models according to their own requirements, with the same attention we bring to premium vehicles.
05
After the work
Front toe was set to −0.9 mm on both sides, with rear toe and thrust angle unchanged. Brake fluid was replaced at all four wheels, followed by reservoir and caliper-area clean-up.

Frequently asked questions
Only 7,500km — does it really need service?
We consider time since the last service and how the car is used, as well as mileage. A car that spends long periods parked still benefits from a review of its service history and present condition.
Is negative front toe a problem?
No. On this car the equipment spec calls for the front wheels to point outward and the rear wheels inward. Setting it to zero is not the goal.
Why does a left-right split matter?
Toe describes wheel direction as viewed from above. This car initially had front toe-out on the left and toe-in on the right. Both were adjusted to −0.9 mm, within the range displayed for this vehicle.
If the brake fluid still looks clean, can I leave it?
We do not judge by color. The fluid absorbs moisture and its boiling point can drop, so we weigh service interval and usage conditions together.
Do you treat other brands the same way?
Yes. We also service BMW, Mercedes-Benz, other imported vehicles and Korean cars. Specifications and procedures vary, but the care we bring to parts, checks and finishing is the same.
