A lower stance with everyday comfort
The owner wanted more than a lower-looking car: a comfortable response over uneven roads, clear turn-in and a settled rear end.
That was the direction of this fast-road setup. We matched the newly fitted parts and reduced ride height to the owner’s mix of everyday and sporting use.

New dampers, with room to work
The front uses a combined spring-and-damper assembly. At the rear, the spring and damper are mounted separately, with ride height set through the adjustable spring seat.
We fitted a YELLOW RACING height-adjustable suspension kit and adjusted damping with the owner’s preference for a softer ride in mind.
Lowering also changes the space available for suspension compression. With too little travel, the bump stop can engage early and transmit a sharp impact. We checked the range as the wheels extended and as vehicle weight loaded the suspension. This took more work than simply setting the height.

Lowering without overlooking suspension travel
The stated reduction was approximately 20–25mm from stock. We considered compression and extension travel alongside the owner’s preferred stance.
A low stance alone does not tell you how the suspension will behave. Wheel angles, alignment and the response on the road also need attention.

Front and rear alignment for the new ride height
These readings compare alignment after suspension replacement, before and after adjustment. They are not the arrival readings.

After suspension replacement and ride-height adjustment, toe readings differed substantially between the left and right wheels. This is why fitting the parts was followed by alignment of both axles.
Some toe and rear-camber values remain red because this custom setup differs from the machine’s standard reference ranges. The setup objective, road behaviour and subsequent tyre wear must be assessed together. These are not recommended settings to copy to another vehicle.

The difference the owner felt on the road
We drove with the owner the following day. Having used coilovers before, the owner compared this setup favourably with that earlier experience. We also discussed how much the setup matters alongside the parts themselves.
The ride felt compliant over uneven surfaces, and the body settled without prolonged bouncing after speed bumps. “Now it drops once and that’s it,” was the technician’s observation during the drive. We also assessed turn-in and rear stability, with a follow-up planned to see how the setup holds up.

Drive it, then check the setup again
We recommended rechecking ride height and alignment once the springs and fitted parts had settled. For this car, we suggested a visit after one to three months; the owner said they intended to return in two to three months.
At that visit we plan to check ride consistency, any height change and tyre-wear patterns. The owner’s experience in everyday use will guide any further adjustments.

How much lower is it?

Some values on the alignment screen are red. Is that a problem?
Some custom settings differ from the machine’s standard reference ranges. A red indication alone does not establish the outcome; the setup purpose, road response and subsequent tyre wear need to be assessed together.
Can I apply the same settings to my car?
These settings should not be copied directly. Ride height, vehicle condition and owner preferences determine the appropriate setup.
Does lowering a car always make the ride harsh?
Ride comfort depends on how the car is lowered. Available damper travel and bump-stop clearance must be considered alongside ride height.
