This visit was for preventive care rather than a fault repair. The customer wanted to plan cooling-system care early in the ownership of the new vehicle.

Access, preparation and coolant work
Protective covers were fitted, and intake components were removed as needed to reach the cooling lines. The work included hose connections, removal of the existing coolant and preparation for conversion.
A waterless conversion requires attention to fluid and moisture left in the system. Preparation depends on the vehicle’s pipework and cooling-system layout.
A refractometer was used to check the coolant during this job. Taking time over preparation and verification helps the installed coolant retain its intended properties.

Checking the coolant during completion
Evans states that residual water above 3% can lower the boiling point and reduce protective performance. Post-conversion checks are therefore part of the work.
For a hybrid, the intended cooling circuit and its fluid requirements need to be identified separately. Consultation starts with the vehicle’s layout and current condition.

Questions before booking
Does 30.2 km/L show a measured efficiency improvement?
It is the customer’s dashboard reading for that journey. Road conditions, temperature and driving style affect economy, so this record cannot establish a percentage improvement or a guaranteed result.
Can a new car receive an Evans conversion?
Some customers return with a new vehicle after using Evans before, as in this case. We discuss the fluid requirements, cooling circuit and warranty conditions before deciding whether to proceed.
How does this differ from a regular coolant change?
Converting to a waterless product requires management of the previous coolant and residual water. Preparation and checks depend on the cooling-system layout.
